Kern X Tribble

Kern is the son of Mogh and Kela from the first litter.  He is a handsome 80# hard charging boy with lots of personality.  He is an excellent marker at even the higher levels.  He is a little like his mother whom I call a 60s flower child so he is just as easy going as Kela.   He went 6/8 to get his master hunt title and is my first male dog to carry that title.

Tribble is a little 46# cutie pie.  And is small enough to carry and just as happy in your arms as she is retrieving.  My face is very clean now that she is home.  She is very easy to handle and has very good marking ability.  She takes casts well even for an inexperienced handler like me.  She only needs one more pass to get her master hunt title.  She is 4/5 currently.  She came into heat November 1st and puppies should be due about January 13th. 

Tribble is EIC clear and a CNM carrier and the pups will be tested before going to homes.  Kern is CNM and EIC clear by his parents, Kela and Mogh.    

These pups should have the ability to run field trials or hunt tests as well as be great companions. There should be blacks and chocolates in this litter but not 100% sure.  There is a really slight chance there may be yellows as well.

It looks like Tribble is going to be having puppies today! 1/14/09  Tribble had 3 black females by c-section late Wednesday night.  Mom and babies are doing great.

Snowflake and Blue Camo opened their eyes this morning.  I'm still waiting on Leapard to open hers. All are over 3# today.  Tribble really likes to feed her babies. 1/27/09

TREK and Nog puppies.

Born 01.09.2008

This is a repeat breeding and all 3 colors are expected.  The pups from the first litter are just turning 1 year old and very birdie.  They have tons of retriever drive.  Nog is currently in training and should be running Master Hunt tests starting in February.  He is the son of Little Morgan and Haley.  Haley held the world record in dock jumping with a jump of 23'4" until Little Morgan broke it with a jump of 26'6" and that record held up for about 3 years.  Trek is from my first breeding of Kela and Mogh.  I kept her to do agility with and have not had much time to train for it.  I recently found out she is just as birdie as Nog and her puppies and loves the birds so now I am going to try the retriever training with her on my own.  She is high drive and constantly brings things to be thrown.  Most of the time it is trash because the toys will be put up to keep her from being a pest of herself.  Nog loves to crawl in anyone's lap to be petted when he is not retrieving.  Puppies from first litter have recently won some Dockdog and Ultimate Air Dog events jumping over 22' at 15 months of age.  Quasi won in Kentucky and Midnight has won 2 events in Florida and will be invited to the qualifying for the Incredible Dog Challenge.  Kelsey now has 2 junior hunter passes and her handler/trainer is brand new to hunt tests.  Kelsey is also a 20' plus jumper off the dock.

Puppies will have dewclaws removed, first set of vaccinations, an AVID microchip, health certificate and will be introduced to birds and swimming.  They will also have their eyes C.E.R.F.ed before leaving.
